Please try to recognise that customers are not unwarranted threats but human beings who are trying to survive this challenging situation, just as you are. We have actually come out to try and enjoy ourselves and support the restaurant through these difficult times.
I would further add in case you are wondering that at all times we were doing our best to comply with the wearing of face masks,use of sanitisers, temperature checks, track and trace etc etc.
It is very sad to me that a more careful,considerate and polite approach appears to be too difficult for the staff in this restaurant to undertake. Let's hope we were just unlucky enough to catch them on an off day.

The glass screens only make it more personal. The food is amazing. The flavour and cooking to perfection is quite unexpected for the money you pay. Can’t fault it at all. Even the wine list is very reasonably priced and lovely too. Looking for to our return. That is what going out for a meal is dreamt about.

Anyway, back to somewhere worth talking about!

Trinity's at Haslar, what a superb night out. To start we immediately felt 'Covid Safe'. Staff in masks, temperature taken on entry along with hand sanitizer at the door. Social distancing kept as much as the staff possibly could, cutlery brought to the table and rather aesthetic partitions in place between tables. We were also given a kindly guide as to when we should and need not wear face masks. I always feel a little anxious about mask etiquette when I visit a new place so this was very helpful. Despite the Covid measures the ambience was not affected. Our fellow diners appeared to be as relaxed as we were.

Whilst we were unable to see our lovely waitress Annette's face, her eyes were smiling! She was absolutely delightful! Annette was attentive yet not intrusive, helpful but not overbearing.

After being seated our drinks order was taken and served promptly. We had ample time to peruse the mouth-watering menu. The only difficulty of the night was deciding what to choose. We all went for the Tempura Prawns which were hot, tasty and served on flying saucers! (You'll see what I mean when you visit!) The Birthday Girl and I had Pork Belly which was utter perfection on a plate. I came to vegetables late in life. I looked at my lifestyle and realised I wasn't going to have it for long unless I introduced a vitamin or twelve. Reluctantly I'll chuck a veggie in to keep myself alive. () However, I have been introduced to a new level of vegetable wonder! Please try the carrots and broccoli at Trinity's. Vitamin and taste heaven! I feel extremely virtuous as I had a herb too. It was wrapped in cream, but the sage is green and therefore is good!

Other members of the party had the Chicken Ballotine which received great reviews. Pushing on to pudding...do not go past the Brownie! This kept two teenagers in quiet reflection for an unusually long period of time!

We are thrilled that we chose to run the gauntlet of Covid! It felt wonderful to be back to some sense of normality. Thank you Trinity's for a perfect evening.

The restaurant was exceptionally busy, and the staff occasionally seemed under pressure. However, this didn’t affect a really lovely evening.

  Delicious meal out. Fish of the day was a bit of a FAB, a bit of a U and a bit of a LOUS... FABULOUSAAA. Defo would again.

  Had lovely food. Especially the fish of the day. Highly recommended. Good beer too and a nice wine list.

  I was invited to go with friends on the £10 off government incentive. At £12.95, the fish of the day, a tiny sea bass fillet on a bed of risotto,... read more was less than wonderful, good job we weren't paying the full £22.95. The Broccoli was floppy with tough stalks.
As for the drinks, £2.70 for a tiny tonic and over £5.00 for a pint is a bit full on for anywhere at the moment, especially Gosport.
The most worrying aspect was the lack of attention to Covid precautions. The cutlery (worn out stainless steel and not all matching) with dumped on the table by a server not wearing gloves. The menus were shuffled from table to table without sanitisation. The drinks were also served without gloves and the server was collecting dirty glasses, cutlery and crockery and then picking up fresh glasses to fill with drinks and then serving them to another table. Disgusting in the current climate.
The 10% service charge was added to the bill before the £10 contibutions were taken off and also after the VAT, it left a very nasty taste.
Rest assured we will not accept an invite to go there again, or go on our own.

  Great service by very attentive staff in safe environment. Not a huge menu but no complaints, all very nice.

  ok so today I thought sit in the sun had 3 pints of ale £15.75 !!! yes thats correct in a plastic container not a glass...london prices for gosport .... read more yes its been a long lockdown but no need for this price hike .. not everyone has a super yaucht or cruiser . the manager who is less than welcoming should take on board ( no pun ) that a mile down the road its £3.90 a pint so wont be coming back at all

The menu as advertised on their website changes on a Sunday, worth bearing in mind if you are planning a weekend visit. The car park for public use is quite a long walk from the entrance.
